On Saturday June 25, 2022, Lloyd Bernard Latour, passed away peacefully at Seaforth Manor at the age of 83. Beloved husband of the late Karen Marie Latour (Doughty) who predeceased him in Dec 2020.
Lloyd was born in Midland, ON on September 14, 1938. He and Karen were married on September 18, 1970 and they raised son, Kevin and a daughter, Kimberley in Puslinch, ON. Lloyd owned and operated an Automotive Interior Distribution company and spent his spare time singing at church, coaching ball and raising animals on their farm. Karen and Lloyd moved to Lucknow, ON in 2005, where Lloyd participated in the SMART Program and enjoyed driving for Montgomery Bus Lines. Lloyd was an invested baseball coach to many but most importantly to his son, Kevin. Lloyd also had a great love of horses which inspired his daughter Kimberley. He was a willing participant and could always be found diving Kimberley and their horses to all of her shows. This passion has continued on to the next generation as both granddaughters also have an affinity for riding.
“Papa” will be greatly missed by his children and grandchildren: Kevin (wife Tammy, child Lauren Paige(12)) in Guelph, ON; Kimberley (husband Peter, children Holten (12) and Hudson (10)) in Chicago, IL.
Cremation has taken place and private services have been entrusted to the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Concussion Legacy Foundation of Canada or SMART (Seniors Maintaining Active Roles Together) Exercise and Falls Prevention Program are greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy. |
