D.A. (David Andrew) Hackett, beloved husband of Evelyn for 66 years passed away, April 27, 2021, age 91 years, formerly of Lucknow. Proud father of Joan & Terry Hays, Lori & Gary Melitzer, Paul & Ellen Hackett. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Richard Hays, Dennis & Amber Hays, Sara & Josh Pond, Amie & Michael Gray, Alyssa & Shane Burke, Dylan Hackett and 4 great-grandchildren. Survived by sister-in-law Zita Hackett. Predeceased by his parents Harry & Loretta, sister Lavonne (infancy), brothers George and Alvin and grandson Alexander Hackett. Following present restrictions, a private funeral service will be held from the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow.

We are so sorry to hear about the loss of DA. He was a wonderful community minded and helpful man, who did much for the Lucknow area. Eric reminded me that he used to help him with the haying, and then Paul also helped us for a summer. We have many fond memories revolving around church, ag society, and the general community.
