Helen Hart of Ripley and formerly of Point Clark and Walkerton passed away on February 18, 2021 at Kincardine Hospital at the age of 97. Beloved wife of Melvin Hart for 75 years this coming June. Dear mother to Douglas (Carolyn) of Kitchener, and Donald (Mary Lynn) of Southampton. Proud grandma of Becky Hart of Kitchener, Vanessa (Eric) Andrew of Lucknow, Jason Hart (Kristina) of London, Jenna (Jeff) Andrew of Lucknow, Elaine Frook (Scott) of Elmwood and Laura Hayman (Craig) of Owen Sound. Cherished great-grandma of Ivy, Foster, Camden, Owen, Maddison, Logan, Aydan, Iszabel, Gabe and Ella. Also survived by sister-in-law Agnes Lucarz of North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by an infant grandson Gregory Hart. The Harts moved to Walkerton in 1963 and started Hart's Grocery Store and raised their boys. In 1981 they expanded into Teeswater with another Hart's location that Don, their son operated. When they retired they moved to Point Clark and enjoyed spending time with friends and participating in the Point Clark Seniors Club. They spent their winters in Florida soaking up the sun. When it came time to downsize they moved into Ripley and eventually into R-Villa. Helen and Mel could often be seen walking around the village and participating in the many activities R-Villa offered. Helen will be dearly missed by her family especially her lifelong love Mel.
