Its now Feb 2022. Although I grew up in Huron Township and attended Lurgan church with Bill, Bob and their parents, I now live in Victoria BC and from time to time visit the obituary section at the Funeral Home in Ripley. It was with saddness I read of Bill's death . But what an amazing gift in our times that I was still , over a year later, able to participate in the wonderful tribute to Bill's life. Thank you to all who shared your memories. Even though I have been away from the community for years the people there remain in my heart. Certainly Bill was one of those people. He will be so missed by everyone. Bertha, you are in my thoughts. Grief is never easy. Bob, we now have both lost our older brother. Life has its seasons.
We would like to offer our sympathies to all of you during this difficult time. We hope your dear father, grandfather and friend may Rest In Peace as you grieve Bill's loss.
God Bless all of you, and may your happy memories sustain you.

We would like to send our sincer condolences to the whole family in this difficult time also from our son Robin, may all the good memories be shared to keep him alive in memory.
We will surely miss our chats with Bill. Living next door to Bill gave us a little advantage to bend his ear. He always took the time to listen and share. We would compare our knee scars and talk about our familes. He would always beat us to cutting the front of our grass. He cut many of ther other neighbours grass, just as a friendly gesture. He continued to do this even after being ejected from his riding lawn mowing cutting a neighbours ditch. He got back on and continued to mow for not only himself but others. Bill certainly had determination and it appeared to us that he could not be kept down for long. Our brief interactions with him showed us that he was a very loving grandfather, father and husband.
He was certainly a very caring, sweet neighbour that we will all truly remember and miss.
We wish Bertha and the family comfort during this very difficult time and we are so very sorry for your loss.
Dear Bertha and Family, Our deepest sympathies is extended to each of you on Bill's passing. It was just a few weeks ago you both stopped into our garage to pick up a purse. As wonderful Huron-Kinloss neighbours you stayed, shared family memories, and caught us up on the grand children. Hugs and neighbourly Love
