Neil MacKenzie, beloved husband of Judy MacKenzie, of Ashfield Township passed away on Tuesday August 4, 2020 at the age of 75. He was born in Kincardine on July 1, 1945 to the late Rhoda (Cook) and Henry MacKenzie. Greatly missed by his children Brian (Annette) MacKenzie, Neil John MacKenzie and Erin (Chad) MacArthur and grandchildren Branson, Lane, Coye, Drayton, Brooke, Dallas, Jayce, Jenna and Coby. Also survived by his siblings Marion Barrett of Scarborough, Jim (Ruth) MacKenzie of Point Clark, Lynda MacKenzie of Kincardine, and Barbara Hayden of Goderich and sisters-in-law Janet (Wayne) Nixon of Ripley and Joyce (David) Thompson of Guelph. Predeceased by brothers Ross, Ray and Allan MacKenzie. It was well known how much Neil loved his farm, his family, his friends and community. He always found the good in people. Cremation has taken place and a graveside celebration of Neil’s life will be held at the Lochalsh Cemetery on Friday August 7, 2020 at 11 am. Sorry to hear of Neils passing, I always looked forward to our field chats waiting for the combine to fill the wagons. He was like a walking history book, I enjoyed hearing his knowledge of the farms and people in the area. Please accept our condolences from the Devitt family.

We were saddened to hear of Neil's passing. Memories take me back to ball games between Lochalsh school and Neil's school, the name of which escapes me right now. Neil was always a nice, friendly boy, and that continued to manhood. Cherish the memories of Neil as you work your way throught the grief of losing him. Thinking of you.
