Obituary

Harry James “Jim” McGillivray of Goderich passed away peacefully with his loving wife Joan and step- daughter by his side on Thursday June 25, 2020 at Huronview, Clinton. He was born in Altamont, Manitoba on April 6, 1937 to the late Freda (Ford) and William McGillivray. Greatly missed by step-children Scott (Cathy) Allen of Scarborough, Terrance (Patti) Allen of Listowel and Sheri Lyn (Mike) Topham of Wingham. Also survived by 10 step-grandchildren and brothers Ivan McGillivray of Calgary and Fred (Diane) McGillivray of Winnipeg. Predeceased by his first wife Gwen and sister-in-law Sylva McGillivray. Following Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of his life will be held at the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow. Interment in Lurgan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Huronview Activation Department or Alzheimer Society of Huron County are greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Jim was a nice gentleman and we enjoyed bowling with him in Lucknow and with Joan and him in Goderich.  We had many a coffee and good games of cards with him and Joan. So sad when he became sick.  We really appreciated his friendship.  Thinking of you at this sad time.
