Our sincere condolences on Don's passing. Many students have special memories of music class and of course his musical concerts. I remember the first time I saw him driving his Mustang Convertible to school. You will all treasure his memories.
hi barbara, colin and rosalea...your wonderful parents entrusted babysitting you kids to me (my first...yikes) a few times. In my "senior" 20/20 hindsight, you needed no babysitting--you were already well-nurtured by your nurse/mother and musical/teacher/ craftsman/etc father. I remember those first, Spring weeks in 1967 in the new Brookside School hearing remarkable voice harmonies drifting through the walls from your dad's Gr.8 classroom into my Gr.8 room and wishing we could join in--it must have been unforgettable in his Belfast 1-room teaching yrs for those kids. Oh yes, and you were nice neighbours across the road too...
We extend our deepest sympathy to you - Barbara, Colin, Rosalea and families on the death of your father. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Sincere sympathy to the Cameron family at this sad and difficult time,,,which has been made even more stressful under the circumstances,, Don was a quite ,charming man with many talents,,,he could do anything, and do it well,,,,,,,,I know ,he has missed your mom for so many years,,,we still have and enjoy his beautiful end tables he made for our cottage .
I was saddened to hear of Don's passing. He was my teacher for 6 years of grade school. He always remembered me and always gave me a warm welcome whenever I was in Lucknow. Know that he was loved by his students and friends for all these years.
To all of Don's family we send our sincere condolences. We were very good friends of Don & Margarets when we were first married. I have ;pictures of Barbara & Brian when they were babes. Brian got his start in Grade one at Belfast with Don & all went on to Brookside. OUr thoughts & prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Mr. Cameron was a well respected teacher at Brookside Public School. And many of his former students, myself included, could still tune a ukulele. "My dog has fleas!"
I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing, and so sorry we cannot gather to acknowledge this gentle and special man. Most of all I remember the twinkle in his eye as a story was building, or as he saw the funny side of a happening- I loved his wit. There will have to be a commemorative convertible ride this summer. with love and caring, Sheila Clake
Our sincere condolences to all of Don's family. He was so proud of each one of you!
I was fortunate to begin my teaching career with Don, and he was a supportive and encouraging colleague. His dry wit, his musical talents and his spectacular concerts were consistently inspiring.
We have treasured his friendship throughout the years. He will be missed.
To all of Mr. Cameron's family, My sincere condolences in the loss of this kind and gentle man. He was my Grade 8 teacher at Brookside Public School a long, long time ago, and he loved music as much as I did. He was a very sensitive and caring man, and I'm sure you will all miss him. God bless you all. Liz (Wilkins) Dadson

He meant a great deal to me as a teacher, vice principal and friend as we worked together at Brookside Public School. His contrbutions to the music programme was always great. And his outstanding Christmas and Spring concerts were special occasions to be remembered.
Our condolences to you and yours at this time of sadness and we wish the situation were different so we could e there to great you and give you a hug.
Mr. Cameron taught me grade 8 at Brookside - a very long time ago (40 years!). Although I'd be a bit rusty, I could likely still parse a sentence and play the recorder, all thanks to him.
Sending sincere concolences to the families of Don Cameron and thinking of you at this sad time. We had some good visits with him a year ago when he was in hospital. He will be missed. Bob & June
Colin and Linnea, condolences to you and family. I have a few fond memories of being with Don. I will keep him and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
