Barbara Hogan of RR 3, Lucknow passed away peacefully at the family cottage in Point Clark surrounded by her loving family on April 30, 2019. She was 59 years old. Barb was the beloved wife of Francis Hogan for 26 years. Dear mother of Alex (Destinee Shepherd), and Emilie (Adam Cronin) both still at home. Cherished daughter of Shirley Anning of Goderich, and formerly of Guelph. Sister of Jeff Anning and wife Lisa Wolfe of Nova Scotia. Also survived by an uncle, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Fondly remembered by her Hogan and Howard in laws. Predeceased by her father Lloyd Anning. Barb was born in Toronto, Ontario on May 7, 1959. She grew up in Guelph, Ontario, and spent much time at her family’s cottage in Bala, Muskokas. Barb worked in the social services in Alberta, then became the Executive Director of Community Living in Wingham, Ontario. Barb and Francis married on July 11, 1992 in Kingsbridge, Ontario. She was a devoted mother to Alex and Emilie. Barb spent much of her time giving back to the community by volunteering at her children’s schools, chairing the Huron County Christmas Bureau for 10 years, and being an active board member for Almost Famous Players and the St. Joseph’s Kingsbridge Community Centre. Barb enjoyed entertaining family and friends, hosting dinner parties and relaxing at the cottage.

Dear Hogan's, was very saddended to hear of Barb's passing. Sending you my condolences at this difficult time. Barb had a tremendously kind personality, and she lit up a room. On the several occasions over the past 5 years or so when I came down to Kingsbridge for the plays or work bees, she was very gracious to help me get involved and I always enjoyed our brief visits and conversations. She certainly was a pillar in the community and I'll recall fondly the chance I had to reconnect with her in the past few years. You are all in my prayers at this difficult time. God bless yous!
Words are not enough to express our sincere heartfelt sympathy to Francis, Alex and Emily during this time and in the the quieter days ahead. I worked with Barb when she first came to our area, and learned very quickly that her heart was made in a special way that made her always look at ways to help others. She will be missed and remembered by so many whose lives she touched, especially to her family that made her so proud every day. Steve & Joan

I had the privilege of knowing and working with Barb at Community Living Guelph Wellington, for many years. She put her heart and soul into her work, her life and our friendship. Her kind, caring and compassionate ways were received by so many. She was respected by clients, staff and the community, at large. Her hard work, dedication and loyality to so many causes will live on. My heart breaks for her Mom, and family left behind. They were the loves of her life. My life has been forever made better by knowing Barb. It's time for her to rest, now.
