Barbara Hogan of RR 3, Lucknow passed away peacefully at the family cottage in Point Clark surrounded by her loving family on April 30, 2019. She was 59 years old. Barb was the beloved wife of Francis Hogan for 26 years. Dear mother of Alex (Destinee Shepherd), and Emilie (Adam Cronin) both still at home. Cherished daughter of Shirley Anning of Goderich, and formerly of Guelph. Sister of Jeff Anning and wife Lisa Wolfe of Nova Scotia. Also survived by an uncle, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Fondly remembered by her Hogan and Howard in laws. Predeceased by her father Lloyd Anning. Barb was born in Toronto, Ontario on May 7, 1959. She grew up in Guelph, Ontario, and spent much time at her family’s cottage in Bala, Muskokas. Barb worked in the social services in Alberta, then became the Executive Director of Community Living in Wingham, Ontario. Barb and Francis married on July 11, 1992 in Kingsbridge, Ontario. She was a devoted mother to Alex and Emilie. Barb spent much of her time giving back to the community by volunteering at her children’s schools, chairing the Huron County Christmas Bureau for 10 years, and being an active board member for Almost Famous Players and the St. Joseph’s Kingsbridge Community Centre. Barb enjoyed entertaining family and friends, hosting dinner parties and relaxing at the cottage.Donations
