The family of Evelyn Splan is saddened to announce her passing on Sunday January 27, 2019 at Alexandra Marine & General Hospital in Goderich, Ontario in her 86th year. Evelyn is survived by her husband William “Bill” Delbert Splan of Goderich, and her children Janet (Rick-deceased) Harrison of Lac La Biche Alberta, Cathy (John) Fleming of Allenford, Wade (Janice) Gibson of Kincardine, Glen (Rita) Gibson of Edmonton Alberta, Mary Gibson of Toronto and sisters Agnes (Lloyd) Buckingham of Lucknow and Catherine (Jim) MacKenzie of Hines Creek Alberta. Also left to mourn her passing are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family on the Splan, Gibson and Moffat sides, in addition to close friends and acquaintances in the Kincardine and Goderich areas. Evelyn was predeceased by parents Peter and Lauretta Moffat, mother and father-in-law Samuel and Esther Gibson, first husband Roy Gibson, sister Emma (Loran) Peter, son-in-law Richard Harrison and granddaughter Crysta Ley Harrison. The family would like to request that any donations made in memory of Evelyn be to the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital in Goderich, or to the Huron Residential Hospice, Clinton. A come go celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held at the Kincardine Legion on Friday February 1, 2019 from 2-5 PM. A private family interment will follow at a later date.Donations
