Dora Alton formerly of RR 2, Lucknow died at Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels on September 24, 2018 at the age of 96. She was the beloved wife of the late Blake Alton, who predeceased her in 1978. Dora was born in Culross Township, on September 7, 1922 to the late Eva Wallace and Arthur Ballagh. She will be missed by her children Stuart & Donna, of RR2 Lucknow, Mary Anne & Sandy Lemm of Toronto, and Steve & Sonja of RR2 Lucknow. Special mom to Bob and Bev Harris of Goderich, Doug and Joanne Alton and Marjorie(deceased) and Peter Levick of Belleville formerly of Ottawa. Dear grandma of Blake, Joel, Brooklyn, Eric, Trevor, Cam, Brent and Grant. Proud great-grandma of Hudson and Eve Dora. Predeceased by siblings Elda (John) Norman, and Wallace (Ruth) Ballagh, and her in-laws Jane (Wallace) Hogeboom, Bernadine (Leonard) Ritchie, and George (Agnes) Alton, and his first wife Elsie. Visitation conducted at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow on September 28, 2018 from 12-1:45 PM with the Funeral Service following at 2:00 PM. Brian Hymers officiating. Ruth Alton isthe organist. Grandchildren will act as pallbearers and flower bearers. Interment Greenhill Cemetery.

Alton Family: Sorry to hear about your mother and grandmother. I have memoeies of Dora living on the 2nd concession of Culross.,with her parents, Elda, and Wally.
Our farm was next to the school, and my parents Hugh and Llewella Armstrong would visit your parents at Belfast.
