I just heard of Mrs. Harrison's death and am sorry to hear this sad news. I am a former student of hers from W.E.Thompson School days as well as seeing her around and about the Kincardine and Ripley area in later years.
She influenced my love of reading and love of libraries!
To Sally and Kevin our sincere condolences in the passing of your Mom. Enjoyed our may little visits at Rvilla and she always had a big smile and a wave when I was passing by at meal time. She was a sweetheart and will be missed. Thinking of you, Wendy and Brian Pollock.
My sympathy to you in the passing of your Mother and sister.. I also came from the Kent Bridge area but your Mom was here in Bruce before me. However, through Genealogy and Historical Societies we met. Sandra and I were in 4-H together and our Mothers were involved in Kent Bridge W.I. Again my sincere sympathy to you. Sincerely, Judy and Eldon MacKinnon, Paisley.ON
I am truly sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Gwen always greeted everyone with a quick smile, the warmest welcome, and she possessed such a wonderful sense of humor. I just adored her! She was also such a prominant figure in the Ripley community, and not only will she be missed, but so will her knowledge of the community she lived in. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to you both.
Mrs. Harrison was one of my favourite grade school teachers. I remember her with fondness from my days at W.E Thompson Public School. May the memories you will carry in your hearts forever ease the pain of your loss.
Sally and Howie. Sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. Gwen shared a lot of our history with her many students and friends. She will be missed by many. Our sincerest condolences.
We are so sorry to learn about your Mom's passing. It was always a pleasure to have a chat with her when I was at RVilla. May treasured memories bring you comfort in the days ahead. Sending you both a big hug.
To Sally and “Howie” and families, please except our sincere condolences on the passing of your mom Gwen. Remember the good memories you have of her. I have fond memories of your dad Howard and now your mom and dad are together again.
