Russell Mackie, beloved husband of Mary Mackie, of Lucknow, passed away at the Wingham & District Hospital on Wednesday August 22, 2018 at age 78. Survived by children Kelly Mackie of Listowel, Sharon Stewart of Southampton, Steve (Suzanne) Nicholson of Ripley, Scott (Kathi) Nicholson of RR#2 Lucknow and Sherri (Rob) Haldenby of RR#2 Lucknow. Also greatly missed by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister Shirley (Norman) Kitchener, brothers Don (Shirley) Mackie and Bruce (Marie) Mackie and brothers-in-law Gordon (Claudia) Pannabecker and Ross (Glenna) Pannabecker. Predeceased by his first wife Gail Grant, son Russell “Rusty” and grandchildren Steven and Katie Ann. A come and go celebration of life will be held at the Lucknow Legion on Sunday August 26, 2018 from 2-4 PM.

I only got to know Russell for a short period while he was at Braemar but from the moment I met him it was clear to meet that he was a very kind generous person who loved life and his family very much. I am so glad I got to meet and know him.
