Rev. Gerald McFarlane of Lucknow, passed away at Pinecrest Manor on July 16, 2018 at the age of 82. He was the beloved husband of the late Marion (Dagnall). Dear father of Laura & Jim Steffler of Holyrood, Mary-Jane & Fred Kelly of Nestor Falls, Gerald McFarlane (Joanne), and Jim McFarlane both of BC. Missed by his 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Survived by his siblings Bryant (Frances) McFarlane, and Sheila (Art) Ravn, of Hamilton. He is predeceased by his parents Harry, Laura, and Effie, and his granddaughter Katelyn Kelly. Gerry was a United Church minister, ordained in 1965. He retired from his last charge in Mount Forest in 2001, but continued to serve the community of Lucknow until very recently. He would at times lead services at Pinecrest Manor, and could often be found providing spiritual comfort to the other residents and their families. Visitation will be held at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow on Sunday July 22, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home chapel on Monday July 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Peggy Kinsman officiating. Anne Pritchard organist. Interment at Greenhill Cemetery.
