Maurice 'Moe' Cotter passed away at Pine Crest Manor in Lucknow on June 19, 2018 at age 72. Maurice was born on August 8th, 1945 and moved to Kincardine in 1983. He was incredibly fond of Kincardine and loved to cheer on the hometown teams at the ball diamond and hockey rink. Maurice was a frequent visitor to Tim Hortons and the Ice Cream Shack. He enjoyed taking long walks around town and people-watching in his front yard. Moe will be greatly missed by his friends, former roommates and Community Living Kincardine District staff. I feel honoured to have known a kind, quiet and gentle soul like Moe. I first met him when he moved to Kincardine in the early 80s and came to the Community Living centre in the Old Box Factory building on Lambton Street.  He was a quiet observer of people and goings-on, liked to be near people even though verbally interacting could be a challenge for him at times. He was happy to just be around people. I look forward to hearing about any future celebration of Maurice's life should former friends and staff of Community Living be included. May your soul find sweet solace, Moe. xo
