Delbert George Hedley of Lucknow, passed away March 22, 2018 at Wingham Hospital at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Joyce Haldenby who predeceased him in 2004. Delbert was born in Greenock Township on July 1, 1930 to the late Annetta Colwell and Mervyn Hedley. Dear father of Gary Hedley of Teeswater, Catherine (Kevin) Howey of Kitchener, Padrick Hedley of Pt. Clark, Beverly (John) Visser of Belmore, Debbie (Mike) Smolenaars of Wingham and Karen (Rick) McMurray of Lucknow. Missed by his 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Survived by his sister Betty Carrick of Owen Sound. Predeceased by his daughter in law Nancy Hedley and his brother in law Jack Carrick. A Private Funeral Service will be conducted at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow. Rev. Peggy Kinsman officiating. Interment at Greenhill Cemetery.

My sincere condolences on the loss of your father, grandfather and great grandfather. I work for the Bruce County Highways Dept. and only met your father through functions that the retired employees had attended. I often heard his name mentioned when the 'boys' were reminiscing about the 'good ol days'.

We always enjoyed our visits with Delbert at Pinecrest. His outgoing personality and sense of humour made our time together enjoyable. He was "one of a kind" and will be truly missed by all who knew him. Our deepest condolences to his family.
