Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm, and on Saturday from 12:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm. (1 hour prior to the funeral)
Dorothy Eckenswiller of Lucknow, passed away at Wingham & District Hospital on October 31, 2017 at the age of 87. She was the beloved wife of Grant Eckenswiller who predeceased her in 2003. Dorothy was born on December 31, 1929 in Culross Township to the late Ellen (Doyle) and Albert Valad. Dear mother of Brenda & Bernard Campbell of RR2, Lucknow, Ruth McDonald & Alun Bell of Plant City, Florida, and Karen Eckenswiller & Jack Culbert of Walter's Falls. Missed by her grandchildren Shannon ( Craig) Empey, Cole (Laura) McDonald, Michael (Amanda) Campbell, Alicia (Bryan) Cliffe, and Sara (Frank) Bender, and her 7 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Wilma (Doug) Moore of Walkerton, sisters in law Marlene Valad, of Walkerton, Gertie Valad of Neustadt, and Grace Eckenswiller of Walkerton. Predeceased by granddaughter Krista Campbell, and her siblings Adeline, Gordon, Norman, Howard, Mildred, Gerald, Edgar and 3 infant siblings. Visitation will be held at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm, and on Saturday from 12:00 pm until the time the Funeral Service is conducted at 1:00 PM.
