Peacefully surrounded by her family, God called Karen Loma Farrell (nee Janisse) home on January 22, 2017. Beloved wife of Len. Proud and cherished mother of Marsha. Loving sister of Mary Oliver (Windsor), Debbie (Ken) Kosslack (Windsor), Beverly Todd, (Windsor), Brenda Bolyantu (Windsor), Cathy (Larry) Strauss (Lucknow), Robert Janisse (Windsor) and Wilfred Janisse (Windsor). Sister-in-law of Donald (Cathy) Farrell (Ripley), Ronald (Diane) Farrell (Kincardine), Earl (Geordie) Farrell (Port Elgin), John (Joyce) Farrell (Wingham), Brenda (Ken) Symns (London). Also missed by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Eileen Janisse, mother and father-in-law Florence and Lester Farrell, and brother – in – laws Paul Oliver and George Bolyantu. She was born in Windsor, on December 3, 1957. In 1970, the Janisse family moved to Huron Township, and that year Karen attended Ripley Public School where she met Len. Two years later, the farm boy stole the city girl’s heart, and they started dating. Len and Karen married September 13, 1975, and Karen’s transformation from city girl to rough and tough farm girl began. They lived happily on the Farrell Homestead ever since, and would have been together forty-two years this coming September. They became proud parents in 1980 and enjoyed raising their daughter Marsha on the family farm. Karen was an avid gardener and her flowers and her greenhouse work became a passion. For many years she fought a battle with her health. During those years nothing gave her more joy than being a wife and mother to Len and Marsha. Karen always had an open door policy, was always there as a role model and gave guidance to many. Her kindness and strong spirit will forever be remembered.
