Brucelea Haven, Walkerton

Obituary

Rosina Alice Singerman passed peacefully in her 99th year at Brucelea Haven in Walkerton on Wednesday May 18, 2016. Lovingly remembered by her family; Joye Hunt, Deborah and Gabe Caira, Cherie Johnson, Meghan and Braden Johnson. Predeceased by spouse Maurice Singerman and her son, John May. Rosina immigrated to Canada from England in 1970 to marry Maurice, woh was a family friend of Terry and Joye Hunt, also recent immigrants from England. Rosina and Maurice became the unofficial grandparents to the Hunt children; Deborah and Cherie. Rosina was a voracious knitter, and was most proud of the receiving blankets that she knitted for Prince William and Prince Harry, which were used to bring those babies home from the hospital. Framed letters from Princess Diana and Princess Fergie were her prized possessions. Rosina also developed a pattern and knitted dozens of socks for the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band. Her pattern was published in a knitting book under the title; Rose's Hose. As per Rosina's wishes, in lieu of donations or flowers, buy a scratch ticket or play a round of Bingo in her honour, the only thing she loved more than knitting was the chance to win big.
