Margaret Mowbray, beloved wife of the late Virden Mowbray and David H. Carruthers, passed away at Pinecrest Manor, Lucknow, on Saturday March 12, 2016 at age 101. Greatly missed by children Marilyn MacIntyre of Lucknow, Amelia (John) Murray of Clifford, Sharyn (Alex) Thompson of Hamilton, Marion Mowbray of Lucknow, Jerry (Joan) Mowbray of Wingham and Alan Mowbray of Port Elgin, son-in-law Don (Marilyn) Bannerman of Kincardine, 22 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by daughter Janet Bannerman, grandson David Murray, great grandson Wade Simmons, son-in-law Donald MacIntyre, step-son John Mowbray, brother Robert MacDonald and half sister Nellie (John) Blue. Visitation will be held from the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow on Thursday March 17, 2016 from 6-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be conducted from the Knox Presbyterian Church, Ripley on Friday March 18, 2016 at 2 PM with visitation one our prior.

Margaret was always a good friend and neighbour to my mother.she was a kind and generous to me .a second home . Her thoughtfulness was always appreciated. Always a very strong lady who always thought of others. Sorry we are away and were unable to attend the funeral, but thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
Sincere condolences to the whole Mowbray family on the passing of Margaret. I had the honour of nursing her at Pinecrest Manor and she was a lovely lady to care for.

I have never been blessed to know a real lady, until I met Margret, Through all the hard times in her last days here with us, she always smiled, treated us with respect and stayed patient, She was a courageous lady and loved by so many, She truly was a lady and i will miss her. My Condolences to the family, you never left her side, she was very fortunate to have all of you close to her, and this proves she was a loving and caring member of your family.
