Marie Barger, formerly of Ashfield Township, passed away at her residence on Saturday March 5, 2016 in her 85 year. She was born on October 20, 1931 in Kinloss Township to the late Irene (Moore) and Harold Sparling. Beloved wife of the late Alan Barger. Dear Mother of Tom (Nancy) Barger of Kincardine, John (Donna) Barger of RR#3 Lucknow, Pat (Walter) Dekeseredy of West Virgina and Michael Barger (Trisha Finch) of Howick Township. Also greatly missed by 7 grandchildren; Brendan, Eila, Nicholas, Jason, Andrea, Joshua and Jacob. Predeceased by brother Douglas Sparling and infant daughter Alana. Following Marie's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral home visitation or service. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.

We were sorry to hear of your mom's (and grandma's) passing. I don't remember her ever swimming but I do remember that she (and sometimes your dad) would be at the pool every now and again when John and Patty were taking lessons or working there. She seemed to be a good supporter of whatever you were doing. Know that you have our warmest thoughts and our deepest sympathies at this time.
