Robert "Bob" A. MacNay, beloved husband for 63 years of Mary MacNay (McQuillin), of Goderich and formerly of Amberley, passed away at Harbour Hill Retirement Suites, Goderich on Thursday January 21, 2016 at age 83. He was born in Ashfield Township on September 27, 1932 to the late Margaret (Button) and Alexander MacNay. Greatly missed by daughter Sharon MacNay (Stan Muzica) of Australia, son Steven (Mary) MacNay of Huron Township, and grandchildren Nelson Hill of Australia, Candice MacNay of Toronto and Michael MacNay of Ripley. Also survived by brother Don (Charlene) MacNay of London and sister-in-law Arlene MacNay of Wiarton. Predeceased by brothers Dr. Ken MacNay and Gordon MacNay. Visitation will he held at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow on Sunday January 24, 2016 from 2-4 PM. A Funeral Service will be conducted from the chapel on Monday January 25, 2016 at 1 PM with visitation one hour prior. Spring interment Greenhill Cemetery.

He always had the best stories & delivered them with that twinkle in his eye & the most wonderful smile! Whenever he called the office, I recognized his voice immediately! Mary, so sorry for you're loss. I'm one of Carmen's son's. we used to stop on the way to the lighthouse and beach at Amberly for ice cream. I've not been around in a long time I've lived in BC since 1979. I've been thinking about you since Gloria mentioned you're loss.
I am sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My condolences to my Aunt Mary and cousins Steve and Sharon. I always enjoyed visits with him and especially remember him calmly vacating a fishing spot on a river near Amberley when a bull made an unexpected visit.
He taught me a lot ... even handed out written instructions on how to live life on life's terms. As a friend of Bill Wilson, he will be deeply missed by me and many, many others. Fair Winds Captain.

So sorry to hear this news. Steve, I remember your dad since I was a little girl on our way to the cottage we would always stop at the store. He was always so fun and full of life, a wonderful man who will be missed by all who knew him. Our condolences to you and Mary and family and to your mom and sister as well.
