Gordon Maize beloved husband of Joan Maize (Taylor) of Lucknow, passed away at Wingham Hospital on Tuesday September 15, 2015 in his 86th year. He was born in Ashfield Township on June 20, 1930 to the late Ida (Glazier) and Harvey Maize. Loved father of Bonnie Anderson of Stratford, Brenda (Robert) McGee of Goderich, Betty (David) Slade of Thornbury, Beverly (Hermel) Cloutier of Wasaga Beach, Brent (Cherie) Maize of Lucknow and Barbara (Al) Voisin of Kitchener. Also missed by 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister Ellen Springer of Tillsonburg, sister-in-law Joyce (David) Goddard of Goderich and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son-in-law Andy Anderson and brothers Harold & John Maize, sisters in law Maxine and Mary Maize and brother-in-law Glenn Springer. Visitation at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow on Friday September 18, 2015 from 9-11 AM with the funeral Service to follow at 11 AM. Interment Dungannon Cemetery.

Gord was a true gentleman with a kind and gentle way about him always. I fondly remember many visits at Joan and Gord's lovely home in Lucknow where they always made me feel welcome. Gord, you will be sorely missed by all who knew you. My deepest sorrow is felt for my dearest friend, Barb, and the entire family. May your happy memories bring you comfort and peace.
