It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joe Murphy on May 7, 2015 at Stratford General Hospital at age 84. Beloved husband of Flora Murphy of 58 years. Loving father of Colleen, Shawn, and Diane Dodge (Brian). Cherished papa of Cole, Mackenzie, Meghan, Riley, and Ryan. Also survived by his sister Leila McLaughlin, brother-in-law Rick Kerr and nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Patrick and Irene Murphy, and his sisters Mary Kerr, Bernice Maisonville and brother Raymond Murphy. Joe was employed with the MTO for 30 years until his retirement. His favourite hobbies were fishing as well as woodworking in his garage creating many designs of bird houses and country crafts. He will be remembered for his extreme generosity shared with his loved ones especially his grandchildren. Friends and relatives may call at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 156 North Street, Goderich on Tuesday, May 12th from 10:00 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00AM. Father Dan Vere officiating. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Kingsbridge.
