I happened to come across Isobel's obituary and was sad to hear she had passed. I use to live across the street from her and Jim as a young girl and beside Mary MacDonald. I use to visit them almost every day and spent a lot of time with Isobel. To her family, I am so sorry for your loss. She was such a sweetheart! I had not been back to Ripley too many times after my parents split up, and always wondered about her. I know this comment is almost a year later, but I had only just heard from someone else who knew her. Cherish the memories....I know I will always cherish them.....just kind of sad I never got to see her again. RIP Isobel
My sympathy to all of Isabel'
s loved ones. I have great memories of her working in the hospital kitchen on the hill. She was a great cook and always full of fun!
I was so truly sorry to hear of Isobel's passing. She was one of my favourite people, as she would have all of us laughing from the beginning to the end of our visit. I sincerely mean this when I say "what a wonderful, kind and caring lady!" My deepest and heartfelt condolences to the Brook/MacDonald families upon your loss.
