William “Bill” MacPherson, of Lucknow, beloved husband of the late Isabel MacPherson, passed away at University Hospital, London on Wednesday December 17, 2014 at age 84. He was born on May 22, 1930 in West Wawanosh Township to the late Janet (MacFarlane) and Gordon MacPherson. Survived by his dear friend June King of Lucknow. Greatly missed by his children; Beverley (Jim) Yundt of Kincardine, Gail (Steve) Caslick of Kincardine, Janet (Kevin) Murray of Ripley, Margie MacPherson of Lucknow, Stephen (Carol) MacPherson of Lucknow and Larry (Debbie) MacPherson of Elmira. Also survived by 17 grandchildren; Jim and Jenelle Morrison, Joel , Mike and Jeff Caslick, Jillene, Kristen and Greg Yundt, Travis, Tyler and Cole MacPherson, Megan Trachsel, Jade and Amber MacPherson, Bradley, Lacey and Lindsay Murray, six great grandchildren, sister Isabelle (Fred) Thompson of Mississauga, brothers-in-law Walter Elliott of Lucknow and Don (Susan) Campbell of Strathroy and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Margaret Black. Visitation will be held at the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow on Saturday December 20, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life will be conducted from the Lucknow United Church on Sunday December 21, 2014 at 2 PM.

I was very sad to hear of Bill's passing.I am the only Maguire in the province at this moment. Several are out of the country but have been sent the notice about Bill. Many an afternoon or evening was spent by many of the maguire family at the Macpherson farm. When we buried mom, Bill kindly offered his home for the luncheon afterwards. He will be missed by family and friends.
