Obituary

Gerrit "Gerry" Meurs of Lucknow died on October 4, 2014 at Maitland Manor, Goderich at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Sylvia. Gerry was born in Varssevelt, Holland on July 21, 1928 to the late Berta Van Arragon and Hermanus Meurs. Dear father of Marian Snieder of Holmesville, Jack (Tracy) of Ripley, and Nathalie (Greg) Gordon of Goderich. Missed by his grandchildren: Kevin (Catherine), Catherine, Garrett (Jenna), Jordan, Chase, Scott, Emily and Jeff (Abby), and by his great-grandson Blake. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his twin daughters Jacqueline, and Isabelle (1963), his son Gerry(1989) and his 6 siblings. Visitation will be held on Monday October 6, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Mackenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow. The funeral service will be conducted from the Lucknow United Church at 1:00 PM on Tuesday October 7, 2014.
