Edith Dougherty, beloved wife of the late George “Ian” Dougherty, of Lucknow passed away at Pinecrest Manor of Monday March 24, 2014 at age 98. She was born in Manchester, England on May 21, 1915 to the late Elizabeth (Umbleton) and John Bacon. Survived by friends Joyce & Susan Attard of Langley, B.C. and John & Brenda Kranenburg& family, of Lucknow and nephew Sydney (Rita) Burgess of Lancashire, England. Predeceased by Dorothy Miller, a good friend and roommate for many years at Pinecrest Manor. Following Edith’s request, cremation has taken place and interment will be held at Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow in the spring.Donations
