Obituary

Edith Fyvie, of Ripley, passed away at Pinecrest Manor on Tuesday March 18, 2014 in her 80th year. She is survived by daughter Annette Veltkamp of Kincardine and son Richard (Bev) Fyvie of Bobcaygeon. Greatly missed by her grandchildren; Sarah Veltkamp (Dave Ellis) of Toronto, Christina Fyvie of Oshawa, Amanda (Daniel) Carson of Scarborough and Bobby and Trisha Morgan of Toronto. Also survived by 10 great grandchildren, sister Moira Elder and brother James Wilson both of Edinburgh, Scotland and all of their families. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley on Monday March 24, 2014 from 2-4 PM with interment in Scotland at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the CNIB or the charity of your choice are greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Only today we noticed that our dear sister-in-law Edie has passed away in March of this year. We were shocked to hear this and we wish the family a lot of strength with this loss. Edie, was a large influence in my life, when I lived in Kincardine. I think of her always. So sorry Annette for your loss. The song is ended, but the melody lingers on.
