Dear Mrs. Ferguson and Family,
Roy helped me settle in on my first day at Mitel in 1981. We became friends and remained so after he left Ottawa to move closer to home. I knew him as a kind and generous person who always appreciated a good laugh. I will miss him greatly. Please accept my deepest sympathies on his passing.
Dear Margaret and Family.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Roy and particularly on sad this day. Our thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow but the loss also goes deep into our hearts as well. Roy had been a special a friend since 1978 when we first met in Kanata. He was generous, kind and often funny. When he moved to Guelph we remained close through regular conversations and many visits. It’s hard to believe we can no longer pick up the phone and hear Roy’s voice on the other end. We will miss him immeasurably but will always have the fondest of memories.
I was Roy's cleaning lady! + anything else he needed doing for quite some time! .He made me want to cry at times! other times I would give him a earful about dealing sorry for himself, we laughed together, he asked me the one day if there would be any other charge for the counselling, all and all, Roy had a heart of gold! hopefully you are able to find a good home for NIRO, you will suffer no more Roy

I am so sorry to hear of Roy's passing. I smile when I think of his sense of humour he displayed when we got together at Norma and Cecil's or Lester and Audry's. Those were good times.

So sorry to hear of Roy's passing. I often think of the many times we spent at each other's homes when we lived across the road from you folks as kids. My sincere condolences.
