Weir Eckenswiller of Ripley, and formerly of Kinlough died on July 26, 2013 at Kincardine Hospital at the age of 88. Dear husband of Grace (Morland) for over 65 years. Weir was born in Kinloss Township on August 25, 1924 to the late Alice Thompson and Eldon Eckenswiller. He worked may different jobs during his life including working as a merchant sailor on the Great Lakes, construction at Ontario Hydro and farming. He loved raising Percheron horses. Dear father of Eldon (Judy) of Medicine Hat, AB, Janette (Ralph) Zabalotney of Leader, SK, Rita (Paul) Weber of Teeswater, and Steve (Therese) of Walkerton. Missed by his 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his daughter Bonnie McKay, grandson Jason Weber and his siblings Ina MacArthur, Grant Eckenswiller, and Kathleen Graham.
