Irene Gladys Emmerton passed away on December 31st, 2011 at Guelph General Hospital, in her 95th year. She leaves to morn: 2 sons; Clifford Emmerton of Ripley, Jim Emmerton and his wife Jane from White Rock British Columbia, and 2 daughters; Elizabeth and her husband John Cruickshank from Victoria , British Columbia and Eleanor and her husband Jack Findlay from Guelph, Ontario, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is predeceased in 1999 by her husband Chester Emmerton, 2 sisters Verna Lavoie and Ina Ferrish and 3 brothers Jim, Stanley and Melvin Johnston. Visitation will be held at the Mackenzie & McCreath Funeral Home in Ripley on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 2 to 4 PM and from 7 to 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held from the Funeral Home chapel on Wednesday, January 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Internment in the Ripley Cemetery.
