It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Michele Rose Fraser (née Sharp), age 63, at Goderich Hospital on September 28, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Michele loved with her whole heart. To know her was to love her, and to be loved by her was truly special. She had a generous spirit and a unique and touching way of making people feel remembered and valued. She never forgot a birthday, a story, or the little things people shared with her. She passed no judgements and loved you for who you were, unconditionally. Michele was a devoted mother to Chantell Rose (Mike), Joshua Stanley, Katherine, and Jennifer (Neil); a proud grandmother to Autumn (Cody), Brailin, MaKayla, Karlee, Chloe, Hayley (Lucas), Nick, and Damian; and a cherished great-grandmother to Aaliyah, Carson, Olivia, and Saige, as well as loving mom to their beloved dog Sy.
She was a loving sister to, and survived by Christine (Joe) and Dean (Duong), and was dearly loved by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Michele treasured her family and found great joy in their lives, milestones, laughter, hugs, conversations. Her heart was full when yours was.
We will forever cherish the many homemade gifts she made with love. The warm slippers every year and especially the beautiful crochet blankets she lovingly created, each one wrapped in the warmth of her heart and a reminder of the love she so freely gave. Michele shared many happy years with her beloved partner, Robert “Bob” Powell, who passed away on September 10th, 2026. The family finds comfort in imagining that Michele and Bob are together again and in knowing she has been reunited with those who passed before her, including her parents Stanley and Rosalie, her sister Paulette, grandparents, and close friends. One of Michele’s favourite memories was that of a mock wedding to Bob in Cuba, surrounded by best friends, laughter, and sunshine—a moment that captured her joyful and fun loving spirit perfectly.
Michele will leave behind a deep absence, but also a lifetime of love and memories that will never be forgotten. We will see her in every hummingbird that crosses our path and will honor her by spreading kindness as she did. Michele, you were deeply loved and will be missed more than words can express. Rest peacefully, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, sister, partner, and friend. Until we meet again.
A private service will be held for family and close friends at Balls Cemetery where Michele and Bob will be laid to rest together as they had always wished.
A celebration of life for both Michele and Bob will follow on October 24th and is to be held at the Lucknow Legion from 1:00PM-3:00PM.

I used to work along side Michele for a couple years back during Covid it was the worst but she always made light where there was darkness. She played a huge part in my life and I won’t ever forget the small conversations we had when we crossed paths in stores, farmers markets, etc over the last 6 years I have known her. I wish her and her family forever happy ❤️❤️
