Obituary

Melvin Angus Irwin, passed away at the University Hospital, London on Wednesday July 1, 2026 at the age of 72. He was born on December 15, 1953 in Wingham, son of the late Sarah Jean “Sadie” (Nicholson) and William John “Jack” Irwin. Greatly missed by son Mac Irwin of Goderich, sisters Jean Thompson of Wingham and Nancy (Paul) Fox of London. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Jack Jr. and brother-in-law Ron Thompson.

Following Mel’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service and interment will take place at Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow. A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.
