MacLeod, Bonnie
Peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 3, 2026, in her 71st year. Beloved spouse of Andy Bingle. Loving sister of Brenda Morrison (Ken) of Durham, John MacLeod (Sandy) of Point Clark, Catherine Hunter (Shawn McMahon) of Blyth, Malcolm MacLeod of London. Predeceased by her mother and father, Marjorie and Donald MacLeod of Lucknow and her sister in-law Valerie (Malcolm) of London. Dear Aunt to Tom, Brandie, Angela, Peter, Stewart, Erin, and Makenna. Great Aunt to Logan, Jessie, Hayden, Layne, Brady, Harrison, Abbie, and Nash.
Bonnie’s career as a dedicated and devoted Registered Nurse spanned over 30 years, working at LHSC, in the community for CCAC, and at Western University teaching in the PSW program. She loved life, her family and her wide circle of friends. She especially enjoyed hosting and entertaining her family and friends at the cottage in Pike Bay. Bonnie was an ardent animal lover and rescued and provided a great home to many furry friends over her lifetime.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held, and a public Celebration of Life has been planned at the Lucknow Legion Branch 309 on Friday June 12th from 1 – 3 pm.
Special thanks to the exceptional staff at LHSC and the community support workers who supported Bonnie through her long battle with Cancer.

I never met Bonnie personally but have seen the way her life inspired those around her. The love and affection that was shown from those in her circles reflects a clear lesson of love that doesn't come without someone to guide them. Having such a wide community of people willing to care for you when daily tasks start to plague you says everything I need to know.
May she rest in eternal peace
My sincere condolences Andy and family. I worked with Bonnie during CCAC years. She would light up a room and share the best stories. She had a wonderful sense of humour and she will missed by so many.

My sincere condolences to all of Bonnies family.
Although we had been out of touch for quite some time, I thought of Bonnie often, remembering the many good times we shared.
Regretfully I can not attend this afternoon to pay my respects. I will be thinking of you all.

We are so sorry for your loss Andy and family. You are in our thoughts and our prayers.
My sympathy to Bonnie's family.
She was the one to do my hair for my Wedding, as well as keeping it in shape for quite sometime in Lucknow. She was such a worker, just like her Mum. I have thought of her often since hearing she was fighting this battle. May she Rest in Peace.
Deepest condolences Andy. Denise always spoke of great times at the cottage with you and Bonnie. May your memories bring you comfort during this difficult time.

I worked with Bonnie At Parkwood while we were at CCAC. She was extremely knowledgeable and was a joy to work with. We enjoyed many laughs and tears over the years. Keep laughing Bonnie.
In 1980 we were living in France and one day I got a call
and they said that Terry was to pick up his cousin at the train station. We had no idea anyone was coming or who it was, but Tery showed up and there was Bonnie and her friend. They had a Euro rail pass and were touring all of Europe. They spent a week with us seeing the sites and eating the local cuisine. I was the only wife that came to the job so it was wonderful to have Bonnie's company and we had so much in common. She was special and a kind heart. Our babies loved her.

I met Andy and Bonnie through Brock and Heather decades ago now, and I am forever grateful. There simply wasn't anyone like Bonnie, so full of life, warmth, generosity, and love. She spoke her mind, loved a good laugh, loved life. And she had a good one, surrounded by friends and family who adored her. My times at the cottage are the happiest times for me, in the midst of such good friends, and Bonnie's wonderful family. I feel like I'm home when I'm there, in no small measure because of how Bonnie made me feel welcome, how Bonnie made me like who I was when I was around her. I have no doubt she could do that with everyone. Trying to find the clothes peg can, watching her getting in and out of the kayak, coffee in the morning, that hour it took her to get ready to go anywhere, untangling her from dog leads, getting out on our bikes, making her laugh. To say she will be missed doesn't even begin to cover it.
My love and prayers are with the family and friends. Bonnie was a wonderful worker friend and family member. She will be missed by everyone. Hugs to all
Andy and MacLeod family. Andy…. Our friendship goes back 64 years for you and me starting in the sandbox in Pike Bay, initiated by our parents. When Bonnie joined the Bingle clan, our friendship grew brighter and not only are you two considered family, but amazing memories for our girls Anne and Grace. Easter Egg hunts, Halloween, Summer bonfires. The memories are amazing. 64 years of memories buddy…. Heather and I can confidently say that the two of you are our best and closest friends, and Bonnie will be a loss for us… more than you know (but you know that).
We are all still busy accepting Bonnie’s passing, but we want you to know that the Bingle/Merrifield connections will be forever.
Love you Ralph Xo
