Janice and family. We've lost a really good one. It was always a pleasure working and joking around with Ed over the years. I remember one day at Bruce B when the strap on the 5 Ton got caught up in the roller door. None of us could reach it, and standing on a chair with casters on it in plain view of everyone in the crane bay didn't seem like the wisest or safest idea, so Ed with his height advantage untangled the strap for us. I don't think he said anything but he had a smirk on his face.. Sincere condolences.

Aw, Janice and family, I’m sorry to hear this news of Ed. You had such a great life together. Such a finicky thing life is, especially when we don’t know it’s coming to an sudden end. I was so happy when the two of you met and grateful you had the years you did together, and I’m sure you would’ve loved to double those years. Big hug to you, Janice (yes, I know you hate hugs) but being here on the Island I’m not likely to run into you any time soon to be scolded for it. I just wish I could wave a magic wand and make it all better. From an old c-crew shift mate!

Remembering fond memories at Christmas dinner visits at the BRUCE Township farm in our youth or the summer visits to Aunt Eunice’s Cottage in Inverhuron to throw some horseshoes. Fun to see everyone and lots to eat. At work, I occasionally dropped by his Warehouse for a brief visit. Fortunately, there was yearly Family picnics to catchup with news from everyone. David and I sure will miss seeing Ed coming into FIG for a beer or two, doing his morning walk around the town or just a quick wave on his way to somewhere to help out.
