Rae Bryan Nicholson
1954 – 2026
Rae Nicholson of Goderich passed away at Alexandra Marine & General Hospital on January 26, 2026 at the age of 72. He was the beloved husband of Kathy (nee Mewhinney) for 44 years. Dear father of Curtis (Nikki) Nicholson of Owen Sound, and Christopher (Alysha) Nicholson of Lucknow. Proud grandpa of Owen, Robyn, and Oliver.
Rae was born in Wingham, Ontario to his late parents Verna (MacDonald) and Chester Nicholson on January 20, 1954. 
Survived by his brothers Tom (Cathy), and Allan, and by his sisters Lorraine (Jim) Clark, Mary (Jay) Passmore, Donna (Tony) Johnstone and his sister-in-law Irene Nicholson. He will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers Larry Nicholson, and Ron Nicholson. 
For much of his life Rae was a truck driver. He loved driving trucks and working on trucks. You could often find him tinkering away in the garage until his health changed.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Dialysis Unit at AM&GH for their care.
Private family arrangements have been entrusted to MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow.
As expressions of sympathy donations can be made in Rae’s honor to Alexandra Marine & General Hospital (Dialysis Unit).
