Beverly Lyman (Bud) Sutton resident of Manning, Alberta passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, at the age of 89 Years at the Manning Community Health center, with his family by his side. Born August 28, 1935, in Ekfrid, Ontario, Raised in Muncey, Ontario then moved to Holyrood, Ontario. He picked tobacco in Ontario and was a farmer in Holyrood, Ontario where he milked dairy cows and drove truck, he also farmed in Hawk Hills, Alberta where he raised cows and pigs and worked at Grimm’s in Manning during the winter season. He later moved to British Columbia and farmed in Vanderhoof, British Columbia.
Dad was a very hard worker, never afraid to take a chance, like moving to Alberta alone with 4 children in 1977. He was very instrumental with his children (8), grandchildren (17) and great grandchildren (26) and (1) great-great grandchild. He was also involved in the cattle association in Vanderhoof, British Columbia and also judged pies and cakes at the Vanderhoof fair.
Dad is predeceased by his parents Pearl and Lyman Sutton, son Bradley Sutton, daughter Kim Sutton, Brothers Cecil, Garry & Charles. Sisters Ruth & Joan. Dad is survived by Sister Jean Gilmore (Allen), Brother John Sutton (Debbie), Sons Blair and Brent Sutton, Daughters Laurie Henitiuk, Laura Hurzin (Billy), Stephanie Sutton (Derrick), Bianca (Dean) Funk, 17 Grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grand-child.
The funeral was held on Tuesday April 15, 2025, at the Chapel of Memories in Peace River, Alberta at 1:00 pm. A graveside service and interment will be held at South Kinloss Cemetery, Lucknow on Saturday July 5, 2025 at 11 AM.
