Obituary

Winnie Siegel passed away suddenly at her home on June 2, 2025 in her 89th year.  Beloved and cherished mother of Sharon Kalich (John) and Kevin Orr (Karen).   Loved Grandma to Angela, Ryan (Kelly), Emily (Eric), and Ali.  Winnie became a Great Grandma (also known as GG) and guardian angel of Callahan born on May 23 this year.  Stepmother of Tom, Shawn, and Tessa.  Also survived by brothers Leonard (Josie), Elmer, and Jim and sister Helen (Charles).

Predeceased by Frank Siegel, brothers Allan, and Ivan, and sisters-in-law Joan and Muriel.

Those that knew Winnie, knew she lived life to the fullest everyday. She was very integrated and anchored in the Bruce County community especially in Kincardine where she lived. She was devoted to her successful career working as an RPN at Kincardine hospital.  She loved traveling, whether going across Canada, abroad, down south to Florida, or just hanging out with the Bruce County campers.

She enjoyed being a part of various local and coffee groups as well as being an active member of the Kincardine United church and choir. She above all, was a caregiver. She would drop anything to help her family or friends. She was loved by so many and will be missed and thought of often.

Visitation will be held from the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley on Friday June 6, 2025 from 6:30-8:30 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday June 7, 2025 from the Kincardine United Church at 1 PM.  Interment in Ripley Cemetery at a later date.

Sincerest sympathy to all of Winnie's family and friends. Winnie was a friendly and cheerful lady, and a great neighbour when she and Frank lived on Concession 11 (formerly Concession 10). We always enjoyed chats with Winnie whenever our paths crossed. Sincerely Murray and Gladys Munro

To Sharon and Kevin Your mom was a part of our lives, first as a neighbor and then as a friend. We spent many evenings with her and Frank over camp fires at White Birches, then at music festivals with our trailers. She was always ready to join in and have a good time. She will be watching over you, the kids, the grandkids and the new great grandchild and will be with you always. Carole and Don

To Winnie's Family - I got to know Winnie many years ago when we worked at Kincardine Hospital together. She was always very caring toward her patients. Then, more recently, we crossed paths in Celebration Singers where she shared her singing talents and her lovely smile. Please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of a delightful lady.
