Obituary

Ross Laverne Davis passed away peacefully at South Bruce Grey Health Centre in Walkerton, March 29, 2025, in his 76th year. Loving father of Chad (Lindsay), Cory (Tanya) and Jennifer (Ben) Giesler. Proud Grandpa/Papa to Abbi, Ty, Myles, Coya, Isabella and Cordahlia.  Also missed by special friend Dianne Nicholson and her children Tosha (Dylan) Cunningham, Cameron (Nicole) Nicholson and Jamie Chester and 7 step-grandchildren.  Loved by furry side-kick Sophie. Laverne will also be remembered by the convoy of friends he made on his travels over the years.
Laverne had a love for the open road and drove professionally for 60 years. He took great pride in his extravagant and trend setting trucks that we are sure caught the eye of many. Laverne was always quick with a joke and always ready with directions when those he loved were hitting the highways.
He is predeceased by his parents Harry and Edith, and his siblings Barbara, Bob, and Lloyd. Survived by siblings, Leola (late Lavern), and Louise and sister-in-law Karen Davis and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday April 26/25 from 12 pm to 4 pm at the Walkerton Legion Hall (505 Scott Street, Walkerton ON  N0G 2V0). Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Walkerton Hospital Foundation or Wingham Hospital Oncology Unit.

Our Sympathy to the Davis family and to Dianne and family on the passing of Laverne. We have known Laverne for over 40 years and I remember him as a quiet man unless he was designing a paint job for one of his trucks then he would get real loud in his choice of colours . Laverne had some trucks with really spectacular paint schemes and you had no mistakes seeing that it was him you were meeting on the highway. R.I.P Laverne
