My thoughts are with Lucy and family. It was always a treat when we were home visiting mom (Dora) to drop in to have a visit with Allan and Lucy and of course pick out our favourite flavour of ice cream. Our sons will always remember those special visits and still talk about the size of the cones. So many wonderful memories. Allan will certainly be missed.

So sorry Lucy and family for your loss. Sorry we couldn’t make it to visitation, but I fell on Wednesday night and had to get paramedics pick me up. The floors here are cement, so a hard landing. Lucky I didn’t break anything, but can hardly walk. I didn’t go to Henry’s visitation as I was so sore, but our oldest daughter and her husband picked us up at the door. Hugs to all of you. I have many fond memories of visiting the Holyrood Store with my family, The Holyrood Store a one-stop-shop - you could mail your letters, get groceries and even grab an ice cream cone if you wanted to (which, you always wanted to!). But, it was really Allan and Lucy who made the store what it was; they were both always so friendly and welcoming, and since I grew up there, they knew all of us by name. Dear Lucy; Sorry to hear of Allan’s passing. Fifteen years ago he bought our green hay wagon at our auction and it was put to good use to display the flowers at the store as well as a stage at his Purple Grove gatherings which were always a great time. Treasure all your wonderful memories.

Lucy my deepest condolences! I have just learned of the passing of Allan. Someone at Fishermans Cove posted it on Facebook. I have so many wonderful memories of you both. I still can see him outside watering all the beautiful plants you had for sale in the late spring early summer. Also you always got more ice cream if he was scooping it up haha. I was so glad I was able to help teach him how to give himself his injections and to listen to him when he was describing his medical issues and able to give him some advice or help explain things. I pray he was able to enjoy some of his short retirement time and want you to know I have been thinking of you both frequently. I pray the end came peacefully and that you are doing well also . I hope you still have my phone number as I never did get your new one. Please extend my sympathy to your wonderful family and please know how much I do care.
