I would like to express my sincere condolences of the loss of your father Ron. Due to illness in our house I was unable to attend the memorial service.
I have many fond memories of visiting your family home when we were young. I looked forward to spending time with my country cousins and Uncle Ron was always a generous, welcoming host. He wasn’t afraid to join in the fun with the youngsters after the work was done of course. I remember helping Chris with the pigs and picking cucumbers for fun and profit. It was always a special treat to go to the roller rink on warm summer evenings. There was plenty of room for a full scale baseball game in the front yard even with heavy hitters like Brad.
That was a long time ago and a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then but I will always remember him in my mind and heart as a kind and loving family man.
I was sorry to hear about your dad’s passing. These things always bring back memories. Ron was always such a good friend to my dad. Back in the day, Ron went over to dad’s shop around 4:00 most days for a little visit. Now that our parents are all together again, maybe they are one big happy group up there! We can only hope! I remember how much fun our parents had together. You guys will sure miss your dad. No more meals with him. It was nice that you all got together for those meals. I know Ron sure enjoyed them. Thinking about you..

So sorry to hear of Ron's passing. He and I worked at Giesz Motors back in the sixties.
I don't think I ever saw him that he wasn't smiling.
He was fun to work with and he definitely will be missed.
