Judith Ann MacKenzie, of Lucknow, wife of the late Neil MacKenzie passed away peacefully at Wingham & District Hospital surrounded by her family on October 15, 2024. She was 72 years old.
Judy was born September 5, 1952, in Kincardine Township. Daughter of the late Duncan & Kathleen Thorburn. She was the dear mother of Brian & Annette MacKenzie, Neil MacKenzie, and Erin & Chad MacArthur. Missed by her grandchildren Branson, Lane, Coye, Drayton, Brooke, Dallas, Jayce, Jenna, and Coby. Judy is survived by her sisters Janet (Wayne) Nixon and Joyce (David) Thompson and many nieces and nephews.
Judy will be remembered for her big loving heart, her love for her grandchildren and children, always putting their needs before her own. She was a baking grandma, a craft grandma, a whatever you want to do grandma.
Over the years she was a large supporter and volunteer of the Ashfield Presbyterian Church and the Lochalsh Cemetery.
She lived by these words: “start each day with a positive thought and a grateful heart”.

Janet, Joyce and families, and Judy's family,
So, so sorry to read of Judy's passing. It triggered memories of growing up on abutting farms. I know that your memories will help to comfort you as you walk through this time.
To Brian, Neil & Erin, and to your families,
We are so very sorry for the loss of your Mom, and Grandma. Judy was a wonderful woman, and the biggest supporter of each of you. She fought her illnesses with grace, without complaint; she gave it her all. She is now at peace, without suffering, reunited with her beloved Neil. Keeping you all in our hearts and thoughts in the coming days, without her.
