Donald "Doc" McLeod, of Kincardine, passed away on September 15, 2024 at the Kincardine Hospital. He was 87 years old. Left to mourn are his beloved wife of 64 years, Johanna (nee Scott), his son Donald and his wife Kirsten Van Gent of Ripley, his two grandsons Daniel McLeod, and Dustin Richard.
Also survived by his brother John & wife Maureen McLeod of Fergus. Doc is predeceased by his son Ken (2010), and his sister Sheila (Steve) Shisko.
Doc was a sports enthusiast. There wasn't a sport he didn't like. From spring til fall you would find him at the golf course, and in the winter months he was at the curling club. He was also highly involved in the Bridge Club. An accountant by trade, Doc owned and operated three businesses over the course of his life. The last business he ran was the Donut Dock with the help of his sons Ken and Don. If you ever met Doc out for a walk, he would likely have one of his loved dogs at his side, and he would be eager to find a way to make a short story longer by filling in every detail to paint you a vivid picture of his exploits! He will be missed.

So sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a great guy. Always friendly and ready for a chat. I remember when he gave me a ride to Guelph. It was the most interesting ride Iβd ever had. He would point out who lived where and what changed and what was the same. He will be very missed. ππΌπππ»πππ

Doc and I had great conversations on his porch. We became close friends over the short six years I got to know him as my neighbour. I will surely miss him.
My heart was touched by my one and only meeting with Don. I just met him that day, as I was led to visit there from the Lord. With his wife and daughter-in-law holding a vigil by his side, I was granted permission to speak God's spiritual healing into his heart, and so I spoke to him with a message that was ordered from above. As a minister of God's glorious Gospel, there was an urging for me to visit the hospital that day. I now know why. I was able to pray with Don and his family, that God would hear Don in his final hours. I spoke to Don as he was in a coma, assured in my heart, that He would hear the message I brought, praise to our Lord. I know that my visit was ordained from our Savior, Jesus, and the message of hope through the risen Jesus, by a repentant heart was heard and accepted.
Sending love to all of those who were touched by Don's life. God's blessings to you all. Amen.
