We would like to express our condolences to our aunt’s family.
On 16 August we recieved the message that our aunt Marie passed away. Because she lives in Canada we do not know her very well but we have warm memories on the times we met her. We know from our parents ( tante Mijntje en ome Jo) that the journey from Holland to Canada was not easy. But Ries en Marie succeeded very well in building a farm and forming a large family like you are now.You will certainly miss Marie.. But you will especially be grateful that she was your dear mother and grandmother for so long. Warm regards from the van der Linden family and the Muller family: Ria and Wil, Wim and Tiny, Tonnie and Wim, Willie and Mario, Anneke and Marcel, Marjan and Bart, Laura and Peter .

Dear Miltenburg Family,
Your mom, grandma, great grandma was a very friendly, interested, and hard working woman who was very proud of her family. Your parents attended parent interviews and expressed concerns and support for both you children and us teachers. My mother and I always enjoyed working alongside Marie with St. Joseph’s CWL at meals, funerals, and church events. You couldn’t find a nicer person than Marie who is now reunited with your dad, Reis watching all of you from above. Rest In Peace, Marie, you’ve earned it.
Our sincere condolences to all of the Miltenburg family. Your mother will not be forgotten. Her memory will be a blessing.

My sincere sympathy to the Scott Family all, in the loss of a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. I'm sure she will be missed. Her smile is echoed in your family. May your memories be a comfort, and one day, a joy.
Sincerest sympathy to the Miltenburg family on the loss of Marie. I have fond memories of her as a bus drive and caretaker at St. Joseph’s Kingsribridge.
To all of Marie's family: my condolences on the passing of your dear, dear mother. I still remember the storm of January 1971 when as newcomers, from the city, taking up farming in Ashfield Township. we had not been initiated yet by a Huron County snowstorm. Marie and Reis welcomed Harvey and myself, along with our five month old son Kirk, to their home. Next came Harvey's brother, Cliff, his wife Joan who was 8 months pregnant and their three children. The Miltenburgs housed and fed us, with no hydro, for four days, making sure we were all safe. We learned how to "recycle" water. Marie was always a gracious and kind soul. I am so very sorry I cannot offer my condolences in person. A long-awaited appointment is the same day as the funeral. Please know my thoughts are with all of you.

To all the Miltenburg family :I send all my heartfelt condolence to you all on the passing of one of the most kindest , loving lady I have ever met. She was so kind and greeted me at church with a little nudge on my left arm when she walked by, accompanied with her wonderful smile, then she proceeded to her seat. I always looked forward to her little "greeting" She will be missed and I will send prayers to each and everyone ..God's Blessings
Our sincere condolences to the Miltenburg families. Marie always had a pleasant smile. I recall seeing Marie at church, she always wore nice clothes and kept her hair in a good style for her.
