Dorothy Hamilton, age 92, of Lucknow , passed away at Wingham & District Hospital on July 9, 2024.

Dorothy was born on July 24, 1931 to the late Samuel and Esther Gibson of Ashfield Township.

She was the beloved wife of Donald Hamilton, who predeceased her in 2008, for 54 years.

Loving mother of Graham & Barb of Goderich, Greg & Deb of Lucknow and Paul & Andrea of Kincardine.

She was a great support to, and an extremely proud grandma of  her grandchildren: Kyle (Kathryn), JeanAnne (Andrew), Jordan, Alex (Jordan), Cory (Brittany), and Caitlin (Dean).

Nothing made Dorothy happier than, or put such a big smile on her face than a visit from her 6 great grandchildren: Brady, Clark, Denver, Bruin, Summer and Cooper did.

She will also be missed by her siblings: Catherine (John) Crocker, Caroline (Chris) Brown, George (Pat) Gibson, Dave (Val) Gibson, Cookie (Paul) Wardell and Gladys Hamilton.

Dorothy was predeceased by her daughter Donalda (1974), grandson Shea (2020), siblings: Roy, Ernie, sisters-in-law Mary Gibson, and Evelyn Splan (Bill). Her Hamilton in laws: Bob and Sadie, Jim (Amanda), Al, Bud, and Bonnie Hamilton.

She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews and her Sepoy family, who were such a great support to her over the last several years.

Dorothy had such a great love for her family. She was known for her fantastic memory and her immense knowledge of family history. She will be missed.
