Obituary

Beloved wife of George, mother to Larry Allison (Brenda) and Leslie Allison (Roger). Cherished grandmother to Jeff Allison (Nicole), Kevin Allison, Haleigh Allison, Toria Allison, Ryan Plant (Anja), Mack Plant (Kaitlyn). Great-grandmother to Payton Allison, Sonny Plant, and twins Josie and Maya Plant. Loving aunt to Scott Livingston (Jaime), and Brad Livingston. Born in London Ontario, she is predeceased by her parents Ross and Edna (George) McMurray and sister Lois Pilon.

Marilyn lost her left leg to cancer at 16 but never allowed that to slow her down. Well known to sing along to 'Sweet Caroline', solve crosswords, and socialize with her many friends. Marilyn loved her winters in Arizona before permanently moving to the family cottage in Emmerton Beach and occupied her time bird watching and tending flowers in her beloved garden where an appropriate memorial will be placed for those that mourn the decades of loving memories she created during her time with us.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley.

Larry, Mr. Allison and families, We were very sorry to hear of your loss. The suddenness of it must make it much harder to bear. Grief, like the waves on the lake, ebbs and flows. There will be easier times. Our thoughts are with you. Kent and Bunny

We remember visiting George and Marilyn at their cottage on several occasions and eating out with them at the Fig in Ripley. Those were good times and we cherish the memories of Marilyn's kindness and good humour. We will miss her. Our condolances to George and family.
