Barbara (Bunny) Joy Stewart (nee Scott) passed away suddenly and unexpectantly at the Wingham Hospital on Sunday April 7, 2024 in her 75th year. Dear wife of Eric Stewart of 45 years. Loving mother of Sherry Hamilton and Robert McDougall of Listowel, Amanda and Calvin McClenaghan of Lucknow and Matthew Stewart and Annie Wilkin of Kitchener. Grandmother to Candice & Justin, Cody, Clint & Kelsey, Bradley, Orson and 8 great-grand children. Survived by sister-in-law Marie Scott, brother-in-law Marvin Skinn, sister-in-law Marilyn Bezzina (Joe), sister-in-law Sharon Saundercock (Dave), and sister-in-law Nancy Carter (Rich). She is also fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews that she loved so much. Predeceased by her parents George and Gertrude Scott (Deyell), siblings Jessie (Lorne) Archer, Marjorie (Harvey) Payne, Walter Scott, Charlie Scott, Doug Scott, and Judy Skinn.
Bunny loved having coffee with family and friends at her kitchen table while watching the birds and other wildlife from her front window. Her family meant the world to her and her greatest joy was family get togethers and being busy in her kitchen preparing the meals. She was a loving, generous person always with a listening ear and was faithfully on the phone checking in on loved ones. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
A private service and interment will take place at the South Kinloss Cemetery, Lucknow. An open Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 20, 2024 from 1-4 PM at Bunny and Eric’s home (589 Grey Ox Ave., Lucknow).

My sympathy to the family, Bunny and I always joked that if either one of us could leave our own kitchen, we could become best of friends. We did always comment and share pictures and sayings on facebook and found there was so many things we shared that both enjoyed so much, our love of birds and wild-life. losing your Mom is one of the hardest pains to bear, I wish you all peace
Forever a neighbour and friend of the 6th, I have very fond memories of some secrets we shared when we hosted bridal showers at the Kairshea hall. I still giggle when I think of it. And yes MY MOTHER was a part of that too.
Our sincerest condolences and prayers to you, Amanda, and your family. May your Mom rest in peace and may time bring you comfort in knowing that she will always be close to your heart.
Eric and family--so sorry to hear of Bunny's passing. Always loved going to your place with dad and sitting at table and watching the birds and having a coffee. Was always fun trying to be the first one to send christmas card
every year.
