Margaret Alena Smith, of Ripley, passed away on Thursday January 4, 2024 at the age of 86. Beloved wife for 67 years of the late Wesley A. Smith who predeceased her in June. She was born in Kincardine on September 18, 1937 to the late Lolita (Stroud) and John Henry Quinn. Dear mother of Rick Smith (Linda Fry), Mary Margaret Smith (Holly McKenzie) and Barb (Don) Murray. Greatly missed by grandchildren Mike (Trish), Mark (Karen), Ashley, Kirkland (Brittany), Kurtis (Madison) and Amber and great grandchildren Tanner, Reed, Marlee, Quinn, Callam, Stella, Bennett, Cassian and Emery. Also survived by sister Edythe Cayley, sister-in-law Della Quinn and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Harold Quinn, Muriel Newton, Evelyn Murdock, Lloyd Quinn, Eloise Payne, Trevor Quinn and Earl Quinn. Visitation will be held at the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley on Monday January 8, 2024 from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be conducted from the chapel on Tuesday January 9, 2024 at 11 AM with interment to follow in Ripley Cemetery. Casual dress is requested.

Ours hearts go out to all friends and family of Aunt Margaret. I had hoped to be there today in person, but the weather has other plans. I know she is safe in Uncle Wes' arms once again.
