Leonard “Red” Stanley of Lucknow passed away at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home on August 18th, 2023 at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of Shirley.
Missed by his children Connie and Tony, Cathy and Glen, and Terry. Grandchildren Kayla and Evan, Ryan, Brandon and Ashley, Haydn, Logan, Haley and Lian and Great Grandchildren Quinn and Hayes. Predeceased by their daughter Cindy.
Red was born in Kincardine to his late parents Ezra and Lulu Stanley. He was one of 7 children raised in Kinlough on a farm. Red was full of life and lived each and everyday to the fullest.
Red and Shirley were young sweethearts, who spent over 60 years together. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and never missed watching their games or an opportunity to take them hunting, fishing or on the road. Red was a friend to many, who can vouch he was a law unto himself.
- the man, the myth, the legend.

Red would sometimes stop for a visit on his way out west or back . I would catch up on the news from Kinloss & Lucknow. One time the back door on his trailer broke open on the highway ,right by our farm & two cattle got out .We helped him get the cattle back on the truck.Glad we were there to help.

Shirley and family, my sincere sympathy in the passing of Red. He was a great guy, always with a smile. Due to a previous appointment I am unable to attend the services on Monday, August 21, 2023, but will be thinking of you and your family during this sad time. I will make a point of coming to see you this fall Shirley. I will call first. I will make a donation to the Walkerton Food Bank in Red's name. Shirley T.
