Lorne Hackett, of Lucknow, beloved husband of Hazel Hackett and the late Joyce Hackett, passed away at the Wingham Hospital on Thursday August 3, 2023 at age 89. He was born in Ashfield Township on June 22, 1934 to the late Mary (Vint) and J.W. Clifford Hackett. Father of Greg (Chris) Hackett, Brenda (Brian) Steele and Mac Hackett. Greatly missed by daughter-in-law Laurie Hackett, grandchildren Emma, Chase, Jill, Amanda, Sarah (Rob), Brandan, Jocelynne, Jolene (Brad), Hayden and Ava and great granddaughter Paisley. Also survived by sister-in-law Belle Hackett, several nieces and nephews and the Little, Hackett, Campbell and Matthew families. Predeceased by son Brian, grandson Byran and brother Chester Hackett. Visitation will be held at the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow, on Tuesday August 8, 2023 from 5-8 PM. A memorial service will be conducted from the chapel on Wednesday August 9, 2023 at 11 AM followed by interment in Greenhill Cemetery.
